This collection of papers comprises almost all major areas of interest of Werner Vycichl: Egyptology and Coptology, Semitic linguistics, Beja (Northern Cushitic), Chadic, and general Semito-Hamitic (Afro-Asiatic) comparative linguistics.
Gábor Takács, Ph.D. (1998) in Egyptology, Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest (Hungary), is Research Fellow at the Eötvös Loránd University. He has published actively in Egyptian etymology and comparative-historical Afro-Asiatic phonology. He is the author of Etymological Dictionary of Egyptian (Brill, 1999).
