Douglas Preston is the author of more than thirty books, both fiction and nonfiction, more than twenty of which have been New York Times bestsellers. He has worked as an editor at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and taught nonfiction writing at Princeton University. His first novel, Relic, coauthored with Lincoln Child, was made into a movie, and launched the famed Pendergast series of novels. His recent nonfiction book, The Monster of Florence, is also being made into a film. In addition to books, Preston writes about archaeology and paleontology for the New Yorker, National Geographic, and Smithsonian. Preston and Child are co-authors of the Agent Pendergast series as well as the Gideon Crew series. Their novels Relic and The Cabinet of Curiosities were chosen in an NPR poll as two of the hundred greatest thrillers ever written. Preston's acclaimed nonfiction book, The Monster of Florence, is being made into a movie. Lincoln Child has published six novels of his own, including the bestseller The Forgotten Room. David W. Collins, audiobook narrator, began building his acting and voice-over career in San Francisco, performing in numerous radio spots, video games, national television commercials, and phone systems. Besides being an actor, he is also an award-winning sound designer, voice director, and composer in the video-game industry, having received accolades for his work with the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Thrillville, and Monkey Island franchises. |
